Description

The Rhyte t-shirt is made of cotton and it features the placement print Laakeri pattern in the front. The Marimekko logo is printed in the back neckline. The straight shirt has an oversized fit.


The starting point for the Laakeri (bay leaf) pattern, which conveys the energy and joy of the new growing season, was a large vine. Designer Antti Kekki wanted to build a large-scale abstract pattern that divides the fabric. Laakeri was created using a paper cut technique, and its form was achieved after many experiments combining the shapes and rhythms of leaves and vines from different sketches.
