The Niittyheinikossa sneakers are made of unbleached cotton canvas in the Mini Laine pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The shoes have 4 cm thick rubber soles and they come with two different coloured sets of laces; one white and one black.
The soles are made of 40% recycled rubber. The cotton upper is cut using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore the appearance of the shoes may vary slightly. Each item is unique.
Annika Rimala had originally trained as a graphic designer, so it’s no surprise that her patterns reflect a strong sense of graphic awareness. This is perfectly exemplified by the impressive Laine (wave) design.
