The small Kaika cosmetic pouch is made of heavyweight upholstery cotton in the Kaksoset pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The pouch has a zipper closure and a polyester lining on the inside.
Our cosmetic bags are sewn using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique. 24% of the cotton used in this product is recycled cotton. The inner lining of this product is made of 100% recycled polyester.
Throughout her career, Maija Isola was both a print designer and a painter, and she often used the same motif in a painting as well as a fabric pattern. A good example is the pair of cats in the Kaksoset (twins) pattern, which appears in an almost identical form in a gouache painted by Isola.
