The Ihastus scarf is made of silk twill in the Laakeri pattern. The square-shaped scarf has stitched edges.
The starting point for the Laakeri (bay leaf) pattern, which conveys the energy and joy of the new growing season, was a large vine. Designer Antti Kekki wanted to build a large-scale abstract pattern that divides the fabric. Laakeri was created using a paper cut technique, and its form was achieved after many experiments combining the shapes and rhythms of leaves and vines from different sketches.
