The Havaitsee dress is made of cotton poplin in the Musta tamma pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The dress has elastic gathers at the neckline and at the ends of the cropped sleeves. The waistline has a wide elastic gather and the hem has an A-line shape. The Musta tamma (black mare) pattern reflects Maija Isola’s recollections of her childhood, when she often imagined that she was running free in the woods together with a big herd of horses.
