The Dagrun dress is made of cotton poplin in the Ulpu pattern. The dress has a wrap top, which is crossed in the front and tied together in the back. The dress has side seam pockets, a gathered waistline, and a bell-shaped hem. The elbow-length sleeves are loose. The A-line dress has a slim fit.
Lily pads floating on the surface of water inspired Antti Kekki to design the Ulpu (water lily) pattern. His goal was to immortalize the outlines of lily pads and their movement as seen from below the surface. The large-scale abstract shapes of the pattern were created by cutting freely with scissors. The composition depicts the rhythm of aquatic plants, perfect in its imperfection.
